When LHFC was formed in 2007, the committee always wanted the club to be more than football.
In 2010, LHFC ran the first Christmas present appeal for children in family hostels, domestic violence units and mother and baby units across merseyside.The response was amazing Sharon from Our house in Birkenhead who were one of the recipients last year stated “.the gifts made a big difference to Christmas Day for our service users”. The generosity of the people across Merseyside and beyond has been amazing, and we hope this continues.

This is our third year and the response so far has been amazing , mode trainning college in Liverpool is asking for presents, so is Rainhill Rockets a junior football team in Rainhill are asking there children to bring a present to the Christmas party.
Steve Barton secretary states ” Christmas is a sad time for a lot of people, a lot of parents will be struggling to get by,will not have families to go to, so the difference one present may make to each child in a family hostel may be priceless, the reality is there is a chance that these children may wake up to nothing, also it causes stress amongst parents, so by having something to give, it will release a bit of pressure of them .”
All we ask is you buy a present , wrap it up write boy or girl and age and drop it at one of our drop off points
