The wait is finally over, Liverpool Homeless Football Club are very proud to announce that comedian John Bishop has agreed to become an official club patron for the next two years. John visited us in March 2012 in the build up to his epic Sport Relief challenge where he travelled 295 gruelling miles from Paris to London in 5 days; cycling, swimming and running. John was raising awareness of sports projects that help people with their lives. John travelled to Sierre Leon to see the impact of the money that sport relief’ spends. He also chose to visit LHFC because it immediately struck a cord with him as Liverpool is his home and Football is a passion of his.
Chairman John Finnigan said; “We are delighted that someone like John has agreed to be our patron, he was a great guy when he visited us, he got stuck in with all the lads and really understood what we’re all about”. John joins other patrons Rachel Brown (Everton and England Goal Keeper) and Chris Foy (Premiership referee). Unfortunately John couldn’t attend this year’s presentation day but has promised to visit us again soon.
