Who is the project for?

WHO DO WE HELP?

Single homeless men with low support needs who are sleeping rough. No local connection required.


WHO WE CANNOT HELP

Men with a history of violence. Those intoxicated with alcohol or drugs. Those unable to cope with the low level of support offered by the project.

REFERRAL AGENCIES

We Accept self referrals and referrals from any agency. Most referrals come from the Basement Drop-in Centre and the Whitechapel Day Centre.

REFERRAL PROCEDURE
Phone Mon-Fri 10am-12 noon or turn up at the door at 5.15pm, no new referrals on Thurs. Interview. Prefer a letter of referral or other proof of homelessness.

LENGTH OF STAY
Minimum stay: 1 night
Maximum stay: 3 months
Support and accommodation

SUPPORT OFFERED
2 full time and 2 part time staff, 7 volunteers. Staff available 5.45pm-9am, emergency on-call system. Staff provide advice and refer to other agencies for specialist support.

There is no charge for the accommodation.

Rules and policies

HOUSE RULES AND TENURE
No alcohol allowed on the premises. Smoking allowed in backyard only. Compulsory residents’ meetings. Sign a house rules agreement.

Not allowed.
